Text messaging is optional. Account/service and promotional messages are separate. You may select either, both, or neither. SMS consent is not required to register, purchase, or schedule service. Providing a phone number alone is not consent.
STOP suppresses all messages sent through the shared Messaging Service. START, YES, or UNSTOP may restore account and service messages only; they never restore promotional consent. Promotional consent must be selected separately and explicitly. See the SMS Program.
